GFDD Writings in Conversation

Recently, GFDD writings were mentioned in this article from the latest issue of Loren Goldner’s Insurgent Notes: http://insurgentnotes.com/2012/01/occupy-atlanta-privilege-politics-or-popular-self-management-for-the-post-civil-rights-city/

The guest authors of this Insurgent Notes article offer a unique and thorough analyses of the political debates within Occupy Atlanta during the occupation of the park, and in the online forums. The frank and unapologetic criticism of OA present in this article highlights many issues, conflicts and questions within the “movement” that have yet to be resolved. While we perhaps do not see eye-to-eye on everything presented in this analyses, the authors are the first to document OA’s unfortunate failure to sincerely advocate for direct democracy.

If this article speaks to your experience (or even if it doesn’t), please let us know by offering comments. Thank you for reading.
